When I started commuting almost an hour and a half to work, I got really, really bored. That’s a long drive, and frankly the news plays the same 5 minute sound bytes over and over again. I was losing my mind.
That’s when I discovered radio drama. I happened to be searching online and came across it. I don’t remember exactly what led me to it, but I’m so glad I found it.
My discovery led to some great old shows like The Shadow, Abbot and Costello, Lights Out, Campbell’s Theater. Very cool stuff. My drive to and from work for the day suddenly became a highlight instead of a chore.
However, the more I listened to the radio theatre shows, the more I got interested in whether or not there were any new shows that were created in the same “spirit” as the old ones.
Sure enough, there were! Great shows like Red Panda Adventures and Black Jack Justice from Decoder Ring Theater products. Very cool stuff.
Now, any time I’m bored sitting in a waiting room or taking a long drive, or just whatever, I let radio theater keep me entertained and enthralled instead of twiddling my thumbs.
To my great surprise, I often find myself wishing that my waits or drives were longer! Now how’s that for proof of how great these cool shows are?

Verbs are a basic part of every language, so the same is true with Italian. There are three primary groups of verbs in Italian. They are grouped according to the ending of their infinitives. There is the first conjugation (-are verbs), second conjugation (-ere verbs), and third conjugation (-ire verbs).
The majority of the Italian verbs belongs to the first conjugation group and follows a very consistent pattern. Once you have mastered the conjugation of an -are verb, in essence you will have learned hundreds. The second conjugation verbs total about one quarter of the verbs. Barclays Bank have increased their share holdings in the outdoor leisure company Discover Leisure (DISL) after recently purchasing an additional 9.5 million shares.
“Presumably, Barclays think they are a viable investment opportunity. None of this indicates an undue likelihood of imminent collapse of the company, although in the current economic situation, this could probably not be ruled out entirely for a great many businesses”
Discover over the past week or so have made their country wide operations more lean by closing some of the smaller stores nationwide, while keeping hold of their core, larger sites which means they are well setup to weather out the current worldwide financial storm.
Furthermore, the leisure industry, especially in the UK has been hit quite hard and with little to no help or goverment intervention many of Discover’s competitors have fell by the way side and gone under. This again shows positive signals for Discover shares and profitability due to less supply and greater current demand due to holiday makers looking for more cheaper, closer to home holiday getaways rather than booking holidays abroad, which has been covered by the BBC news and the Financial Times.
For Discover Leisure (DISL) share holders, although the current share price isn’t great, but bearing the above factors in mind, these are great reasons to hold on to your shares, if not buy while at a bargain price before they find their feet again and regain something like their original share price from 1 year plus ago, the rewards will be substantial.
