Some would argue that an actors resume is even more important than his or her headshot. In this article we will quickly review the central purpose of an acting resume and from there discuss what should and should not go in it and why.
An acting resume should take up precisely one side of one page, and you will usually want to staple it to the back of your head shot. This single page should represent you as an artist, as an entertainer, as an employee, and as a colleague. In order to do that, you will have to do a little thinking about what the auditioners seem to be looking for. What show are they putting up, and how does it compare to their previous shows? What types of shows do these people typically produce, and who do they usually cast for the role you want? Once you’ve considered what they’re looking for, the next step is to try and give them what they want. You’re an actor, so this will come pretty naturally to you.
The main thing to have in mind is that your acting resume should represent the part you want to play more than you as an independent entity. So, you should twist and pull at the facts of your professional life until they fit, as closely as possible, the specific audition. Don’t lie; simply try to select and highlight the parts of your acting career that are the best fit for this show. This will hardly take you any time at all to do before each show. Five or ten minutes for each audition could very well spell the difference between getting a part or not getting it.

One advantage unique to renewable energy but not fully appreciated is the phenonemon of community renewable power project. Community renewables projects can be a great force for social cohesion, and they can create a wide range of social benefits that transcend the economics of a particular project. These advantages include decreased dependence on foreign natural gas and oil, a power infrastructure that is far less subject to large-scale disruption or terrorism because of its distributed and diverse nature, local control of generation facilities, creation of much needed high-quality jobs in rural areas, and a supplemental revenue stream for agricultural community members that allows them to maintain their rural lifestyle. These projects include projects as diverse as willow coppicing and gasifying the wood chip produced, using power plants built mostly on farms, learning how to make biodiesel to community anaerobic digesters processing the food and organic waste of a community feeding electric power into the local power grid and hot water via CHP schemes into their homes for low cost heating.
However this form of energy can be implemented badly, and if it is it can be inefficient and destructive. One example is if biomass is burnt but the forests are not replanted. To power a large proportion of the United States by biomass, vast areas would need to be taken from food production and harvested annually to feed our energy cravings while food prices would still rise higher and higher. Biodiesel use is small now, but its use in diesel engines and for heating is increasing. Biodiesel and bioethanol do produce carbon dioxide when they are combusted in a car engine.
Geothermal energy uses hot water deep within the earth’s crust to spin turbines and produce power 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It produces few carbon emissions and can re-inject used-water back into the earth to be used again, making it fully sustainable. solar power is generated when utilities are in highest demand – in the middle of the day. In terms of the energy to make these solar cells, it is said that in about the same time it takes to pay them off – four to five years – the cells provide back the energy that was required to make them in the first place. One place in which solar energy is being heavily used is Hong Kong.

Waterproofing basement walls can be done in a number of ways, mostly dealing with the inside and outside of the wall. The best time to make sure your basement is waterproof is during construction when a waterproof membrane can be applied to the outside of the foundation. Poor original work, the home settling, or hydrostatic pressure from changes in the water table around your home could result in leaks and seepage through your basement walls. It is possible to waterproof your basement walls with some work. Of course make sure you have the correct socket wrench set available. The socket wrench sets can be used for many things. First check the walls for any hairline cracks, holes, or other porous areas in the walls. Larger holes will need to be filled with mortar and then waterproofed but smaller holes and cracks will be fine with just a waterproof mix. Chisel out a dovetail to allow the mortar to properly take hold from the inside when filling in larger holes. Mortar is usually one part cement to two parts sand with enough water to make a stiff mix.
Use an ordinary trowel when applying mortar and check there are no air holes or pockets. If the wall is leaking considerably you may need to put in a drainage pipe to a sub pump to help drain the water and before applying the mortar, use a stiff wire brush to get rid of loose particles which will help it adhere. This may only be temporary or permanent depending on the nature of the water flow. Repair any leaking floor joints in much the same way as the larger holes in the wall.
Start by chiseling out a dovetail joint to help it adhere and make sure to incline the patch slanting it from the floor to the wall to provide strength and drainage. The waterproof mixture can be applied once the wall has been repaired. Sand the wall to remove any paint, mist the wall then apply the waterproof mixture while the wall is not dry but is not so wet that it will not set. The manufacturer’s instructions should be read carefully since epoxy and latex waterproofing mixtures usually require you to add some water, but you could also use your own mix of plain cement and water which should have the consistency of cream when mixed to a slurry. Begin applying the mixture with a stiff brush at the bottom of the wall moving up in a right to left direction.
Fill in all hard to reach areas. The next morning, wet the wall down thoroughly again and apply a second coat of the waterproofing mixture in the same manner as the first. If you use one coat instead of two you may have to start over again as this will not do the job. Waterproofing basement walls is not as difficult as it might first appear if you use this information. Ultimately, the dry basement you have been wanting for quite some time will be ready.

My parents raised 4 kids and helped to raise ten grandkids as well. When it was time for them to retire, we all decided to give them a cruise trip they would never forget. We put our money together and went to Orbitz coupons to arrange for a world cruise. Raising children didn’t leave them any time to explore the world outside our neighborhood and we wanted to show our appreciation for all they had done for us. Only a Grand cruise around the world would suffice.
Ports of Call
Orbitz allowed us to arrange for a tour that they would never have been able to afford. They visited ports such as China, Mombasa, Tokyo and Singapore. In China they spent time at such attractions as Lantau Island and the Po Lin Monastery. They soaked up some sun at Cheung Sha Beach. My grandparents felt like quite the world travelers as they asked on the sand.
In Mombasa they got a taste of adventure when they explored Mombasa National Park and Reserve and went snorkeling at the Marine Reserve Area so they could see first-hand the beautiful coral reefs that give the ocean life. You can access the marine park from the beaches of Shanzu, Bamburi and Nyali. We didn’t believe it ourselves until we saw the photos they took during such an amazing feat.
In Singapore they visited the Singapore Discovery Center so that they could begin to understand the Singapore lifestyle. These are just some of the ports of call they explored.
On The Ship
Incredible dinners, ballroom dancing, gambling, and a wide array of activities were ongoing on board in which they took part in. On days when they needed to chill for a bit from all the fun and excitement, they lazed around the pool and made new friends with whom they still email with. The beauty of sunset upon the ocean is a sight that must be seen to be believed.

A nice thing about the ceramic tile industry is that there is a widely-accepted rating system for durability. Our system rates the surface of a tile from Class 1 to Class 5 (”1″ being the least resistant to abrasion and “5″ the most resistant). This allows you to choose the right tile for the application.
Wear Rating System:
While the composition of tiles may differ, the most important attribute to a tile is its wear rating. The wear rating is a tile’s ability to resist scratching from surface abrasion. The chart below shows how tiles are rated. Keep in mind all 3 types of tiles described above come with various ratings, but through-bodied porcelains usually carry the highest rating of 5 – all residential and commercial use.
Wear Rating System:
Class 1: Wall Application Only.
Class 2: Light Residential Use. Class 2 tiles must not be used in residential areas that are subject to constant or heavy traffic. (i.e., kitchen)
Class 3: Residential Applications. Class 3 tiles are suitable for all residential applications.
Class 4: All Residential and Light Commercial Applications. Class 4 tiles may be used in all residential areas and light commercial applications. (i.e., restaurants, offices)
Class 5: Suitable for all Residential and Commercial Application. Class 5 tiles are suitable for all applications including those with heavy traffic and constant use. (i.e., Shopping Malls, Hospitals)
Choosing A Size:
Tiles are available in many sizes. The recent trend has been toward larger tiles for floor and wall applications. 13″ x 13″ has been our most popular size for floors and 8″ x 10″ the most popular for walls. The up and coming sizes are 16″ x 16″ for floors and 8″ x 12″ for walls. The reason? Larger tiles make a space appear…larger. The Rules of Color:
Of course, only you can decide what color is right for you, but here are a few basic rules to remember: Lighter colors make a space appear larger. Darker colors add warmth and hide dirt well. Neutral colors allow you to change your accessories but if you love a trendy color, go for it! Just keep in mind it will be with you a long time. The color shade or shades of all tile varies some degree from piece to piece, from each production run to run. At least several pieces from the same production run should be reviewed whenever possible to determine acceptable color shade variations. Any questions or concerns about your tile selection should be clarified prior to installation.
Texture Tips:
Generally speaking, textured or matte finish tiles are less slippery than smooth or shiny tiles – something to keep in mind when choosing floor tiles. A tile’s “slip resistance” is measured by its “coefficient of friction,” which is provided by some manufacturers.
Selecting A Style:
Rustic or stone-looking tiles are extremely popular because they fit in with any decor and are excellent at hiding dirt. Marbleized tiles lend a more formal look. Tumbled marble is a popular look for all types of decor. Glass tiles and metallic looks are now frequently used in conjunction with ceramic tile and natural stone to create a unique and striking installation.
